Video Appointments
Tardif Psychology provides care via HIPAA-compliant video appointments. Dr. Tardif will be at her office and you may log in from the comfort and convenience of your own home, or wherever else you have privacy and a strong internet connection.
Services are focused on the individual. However, comprehensive support and collaboration are essential for your holistic well-being, so working with your interdisciplinary medical team and involving loved ones is often appropriate.

Initial Intake Appointment
50 minutes - $525
This is the first step. Before your appointment I will gather a comprehensive set of intake information and conduct a a thorough assessment. This will serve as the foundation for creating your tailored plan.
Follow-up Appointments
50 minutes - $425
Appointments are held at a time and frequency that best suits your needs. After your initial intake appointment, any follow-up appointments are designed to help you navigate the connections between your psychological, physical, and life circumstances to improve your overall well-being.
Most appointments are scheduled during normal business hours, however support can be made available during evenings and weekends. This may be a helpful option if you are experiencing an acute time of need.

All payment transactions are made through the patient portal, powered by SimplePractice, a trusted and secure, HIPAA compliant platform. The card on file will be charged at the time of your appointment.
Canceling or rescheduling an appointment requires 48 business hours advanced notice via email.
You may be referred to Tardif Pscyhology by your doctor or healthcare professional, but a referral is not required.
Therapy offers the opportunity for regular appointments with Dr. Tardif to work towards your goals together. Think of consultation as similar to how you might work with a specialist physical health provider (eg. oncologist, pain
physician). You meet with Dr. Tardif for 1-3 appointments to get initial information and concrete next steps. Dr. Tardif values the opportunity and process of both therapy and consultation.
You decide who you want to include in your care. You can allow Tardif Psychology to work with your team after completing a Release of Information form.

No, Dr. Tardif does not prescribe medications nor can she make any changes to existing ones. Dr. Tardif can help you find a prescriber and consult with them, when appropriate.
Yes, Dr. Tardif works with anyone 13yo+ that wants support around mental health. Pain can also be psychological and emotional.
Tardif Psychology defines persistent/chronic pain as pain that persists for 3-6 months whether that is constant pain or pain that cycles or flares up (comes and goes). It starts to decrease your quality of life. Pain might start from an injury or disease, but often continues due to changes in the nervous system. Examples: hypermobility, neuropathy, migraines. Treatment is highly individualized to each person and situation. Some examples of pain specific treatment include auditing/creating the right interdisciplinary team and learning about chronic pain and its relationship with your mental health. Pain psychology involves reestablishing a sense of bodily safety.
Again, this will depend on each individual. It can vary from 1-3 appointments to years of ongoing treatment. If you prefer a short-term relationship due to cost, accessibility (you prefer in-person) or whatever the case is, but want ongoing therapy, Dr Tardif will be happy to assist you in finding a more suitable long-term provider and can stay on your interdisciplinary team as a specialist.
